COVID-19 Updates

Following the recent recommendations from the CDC, the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and our Synod Bishop, we need to share some significant changes to our common life in the coming weeks. We are still the church and are still called to share the love of God in Christ. But for a little while, we will need to share that love of Christ in a different way. We love you too much for you to risk your welfare, and this is what we can proactively do to “flatten the curve”. Jesus walked through walls to be with those who lived in fear and uncertainty (John 20:26). God in Christ will do so again in these present days. Out of deep concern for you, for the most vulnerable among us, and for the whole people of God, we are making the following changes

What is the worship schedule and how can I worship?

Worship will still happen at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings, but we gather through our radio broadcast and on Facebook Live. Listen to 1240 WOMT AM, livestream from their website ( and click “listen live”), or watch on Facebook Live. Only skeleton staff and worship leaders will be present in the building itself. We are still the church, and we will be the church together using these technologies.

As we are in the season of Lent and with Holy Week approaching, those schedules have been adapted as well. Wednesday Lenten services will be held at 6 p.m. on Facebook Live.

Holy Week Schedule:

Palm Sunday (April 5) 9 a.m. on 1240 WOMT AM and Facebook Live

Maundy Thursday (April 9) 6 p.m. on Facebook Live

Good Friday (April 10) 1 p.m. on 1240 WOMT AM and Facebook Live

Easter Sunday (April 12) 9 a.m. on 1240 WOMT AM and Facebook Live

In light of this period of isolation, additional ways to connect in worship are being streamed on Facebook Live. Kristine leads Evening Bible Storytime—a great way for young and young at heart to enjoy music and a Bible story—Sundays at 6:45 p.m. Join Stephanie on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. for Music and Meditation: a time to let go of the burdens of the day, and be filled with God's presence through song, scripture and prayer.

What about church activities?

All choirs, Christian Education, fellowship and meal events are postponed until further notice. Pay attention for information and updates from group leaders. There are many ways to serve our neighbors and proclaim God’s love - they will just look different for a little while.

How can I help?

Call the people you typically see on Sunday to check in. Continue to give your gifts of offering so that the staff, agencies and institutions that depend on us can still do ministry in the midst of already heightened need. Pray for the people on our prayer lists. If you have prayer requests or would like to be part of the “Buddy Ministry” check-in system, please email Be merciful to one another, wash your hands, and follow the instructions of medical and government professionals. They, too, have been called and trained for such a time as this.

How can I give offering?

Your financial contributions remain important for the staff, agencies and institutions that depend on us to do their ministry amidst already heightened need. Currently you can either mail in your check, or have your bank send us a check through online bill payment options. New methods of payment are in the works; please check back for updates on that.

We are baptized for such a time as this - so we can face the future confident in the love of God in Christ. The saints of old have traveled confident in God’s guidance, and we shall again in these present days.
