If you're apprehensive about attending a new church for a first time, you're not alone! All are welcome at First Lutheran, and to help you feel more at ease, here's some of what you can expect during worship on a typical Sunday.

At our church, tradition meets warmth and community. We value our traditional worship style but embrace a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where everyone feels at home. Our members share close bonds and genuine friendships, supporting one another through faith and fellowship. Whether you’re new to church life or looking for a place to belong, we welcome you with open arms to join our growing family.

Our Sunday service begins at 9:00 a.m. and lasts about an hour. Each gathering blends the teaching of God’s Word with reflections on how it applies to our everyday lives, along with heartfelt songs of worship and moments of sharing together. After the service, we invite everyone to stay for coffee and conversation—a wonderful opportunity to connect and get to know one another.

Children of all ages are always welcome. Each service includes a special children’s message for those who wish to stay in the sanctuary. For younger ones, we also offer a volunteer-staffed nursery every Sunday, providing a safe and caring space while parents enjoy the service. We believe the sound of children is a joyful reminder of God’s blessings, and we welcome your little ones with open arms.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! Some folks dress up, some dress down—because we know God welcomes us for who we are, not what we wear.
