Friday Lunches for our Neighbors Experiencing Homelessness

We serve lunch to our neighbors experiencing homelessness every Friday from April through November while the warming shelter is closed. The doors open at 11:30 for coffee and conversation and lunch is searved from 12:00 to 1:00. We strive to offer community and a space where our neighbors feel welcomed and seen. Community Meal at Lighthouse Recovery Community Center

We provide and serve a meal for 60 people at the Lighthouse Recovery Community Center on State Street the first Tuesday of the month from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Contact the office if interested in providing food or serving.

Household Item Donations for Hope House

Join us in donating a variety of household items to help our neighbors at Hope House.

The following are items that are used quickly and are needed year-round: Walmart gift cards, Pick 'n Save gift cards, twin XL fitted sheets (just the fitted), bathroom cleaner, 13 gallon garbage bags, Ziploc bags, toilet bowl cleanre, all-purpose cleaning spray, floor cleaner, laundry detergent pods, paper towel, toilet paper, facial tissue (Kleenex).

Host Weeks at Hope House

Every six weeks we serve as evening hosts at Hope House for a week. The shift runs from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and responsibilities include monitoring the door and visiting with the guests. Training is provided and a background check is required. We are always looking for more volunteers! Please note the following Hope House host weeks for the remainder of 2026: July 12-18, August 30-September 5, October 18-24, and December 6-12. Contact the office if interested in getting involved.

Laundry Day for Our Neighbors Experiencing Homelessness

We gather at Globe Laundry on the first Monday of the month from 10:00am to 12:00pm to provide laundry supplies, coffee, and community. Contact the office if interested in getting involved. Between April and November, when the Warming Shelter is closed, we also offer bus tokens, shower passess at the YMCA, and food to go. Contact the office if interested in getting involved.
