Community Meal at Lighthouse Recovery Center

We provide and serve a meal for 60 people at the Lighthouse Recovery Community Center on State Street the first Tuesday of the month from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Contact the office if interested in providing food or serving.

Community Meal at Grow It Forward

We help serve a meal at Grow It Forward on Marshall Street the third Monday of the month from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Contact the office if interested in providing food or serving. 

Laundry Day for our Unhoused Neighbors

We gather at Globe Laundry on the first and third Mondays of the month from 10:00am to 12:00pm to provide laundry supplies and community. Contact the office if interested in getting involved. 

Food Donations
Join us in donating food items to Salvation Army on the first Sunday of each month.

Stop by and pick up our black cloth bags printed with 'First Lutheran Church - Gather, Grow, Go'. Drop off across from First Lutheran's main office and items will be delivered on behalf of our church.

Salvation Army is often in need of the following items: juice boxes/pouches, beef/chicken jerky pouches, dried fruit packs, no added sugar fruit cups, cereal packs, Bumble Bee “Lunch on the Run,” chicken salad kits or any on-the-go
healthy snacks/meals for kiddos, pasta sauces, cereal/oatmeal, pouched meat, all varieties of pasta, coffee in individual portion packets, condiments (including pickles and olives, etc.), bottles of 100% juice, cake/brownie mixes and frostings (can be a nice treat), canned soups, salad dressings, jelly/jam, crackers, rice, pasta and rice “sides” to go along with a meal, canned fruit, any kind of canned beans.

Household Items Donations
Join us in donating a variety of household items to help our neighbors at Hope House.

The following are items that are used quickly and are needed year-round: Walmart gift cards, Pick 'n Save gift cards, twin XL fitted sheets (just the fitted), bathroom cleaner, 13-gallon garbage bags, Ziploc bags, toilet bowl cleaner, all-purpose cleaning spray, floor cleaner, laundry detergent pods, paper towel, toilet paper, facial tissue (Kleenex).
